Driving
NOTE:
We strongly discourage driving Labor Day weekend- parking is a nightmare and most hotels don't offer any! If you can avoid driving, please do :) If you must drive, we'd recommend finding parking on a Carmel side street and then leaving it parked for the weekend. Once in the area, our official event shuttles and Uber/Lyft will help you get around easily. If you do drive, here are directions:
GETTING TO CARMEL:
From San Francisco or San Jose to downtown Carmel:
Highway 101 south to Highway 156 west. Stay to the left in Castroville, the road becomes Highway 1 south. Take Highway 1 south to Carmel. Turn right at Ocean Avenue and go 1 mile to downtown Carmel.
From Los Angeles to downtown Carmel:
Interstate 5 north to Highway 46 west towards Paso Robles. Merge onto Highway 101 north to Salinas. Go west on Highway 68 (the exit from 101 will say "Monterey Peninsula") to Highway 1 south, toward Carmel. Turn right at Ocean Avenue and go 1 mile to downtown Carmel.

WEDDING DAY SHUTTLES
Shuttles will be available to transport guests to the Saper Residence for the ceremony and on to The Beach and Tennis Club for the reception. Parking is not available at the Saper Residence. If you are driving to the wedding, please park at the Spa Circle parking lot at Pebble Beach Resorts to ride a shuttle to the wedding ceremony at the Saper residence (see below).

at regular intervals throughout the evening.
DIRECTIONS TO THE BEACH AND TENNIS CLUB AT PEBBLE BEACH:

If you wish to drive to the wedding reception, you will need to park at the Spa at Pebble Beach. Once you have parked, a shuttle will take you to the ceremony then on to the reception. Shuttles will be returning to the lot throughout the evening. Shuttles will depart from the lot at 4:20 pm on wedding day.
From Carmel by the Sea
Travel west on Ocean Avenue and head down the hill.
Turn right onto San Antonio Avenue and approach the Carmel Gate.
Tell the gate attendant you are with the Saper-Engle Wedding.
After passing through the gate, branch left onto 17-Mile Drive.
Follow 17-Mile Drive approximately 1.5 miles until you reach Palmero Way.
Turn left on Palmero Way at the sign for The Lodge/Casa Palmero.
The parking lot for Casa Palmero will be on the right.
From Monterey
Once on Highway 1, take the Highway 68 Pacific Grove/Pacific Grove exit.
At the exit, go straight across through the traffic light and bear right to the gate.
Tell the gate attendant you are with the Saper-Engle Wedding.
After passing through the gate, take the low road left onto 17-Mile Drive.
Follow 17-Mile Drive approximately 2.5 miles until you reach Palmero Way.
Turn left on Palmero Way at the sign for The Lodge/Casa Palmero.
The parking lot for Casa Palmero will be on the right.
